What is Design-Build?

Throughout the Multi-Centre process, the most common question has been "How are you going to keep costs in line?"

Early in the process, both the City and CRD heard the concerns of residents regarding project costs and wanted to ensure the project is completed in a cost-efficient and cost-responsible manner.

The City and CRD opted to employ the Design-Build method of construction.

Put simply, Design Build lays out the scope of the project and defines the price of a project before construction starts. It is designed to keep costs on track while also accelerating the construction timeline.
