Design Advisory Committee
The Multi-Centre Design Advisory Committee is an advisory committee of the North Cariboo Joint Planning Committee. The Committee’s primary role is to provide and facilitate community input into the design development of the Multi-Centre. The Committee shall solicit feedback and provide input to City and CRD staff and to consultants hired by the City and CRD to develop design documents for the Multi-Centre. The Committee will make recommendations to the NCJPC regarding design issues related to the Multi-Centre where appropriate.
Specifically, the Committee will:
- Review best practices from similar projects in other communities
- Provide input and assist City and CRD staff in the review and selection of an experienced firm(s) who will:
• Facilitate a public consultation process with stakeholder groups and the community at large
• Develop a Statement of Requirements (SOR)
• Facilitate the development of a Functional Space Program
• Develop a Request for Qualifications Document (RFQ)
• Develop a Design/Build Request for Proposals Document (RFP)
• Serve as Project Managers throughout the proposal review and construction phases of the project
- Assist City and CRD staff throughout this process, providing feedback from the perspective of user groups and the community at large.

Finance Committee
The NCJPC approved the formation of a finance committee to coordinate fundraising efforts. The committee hasn't been activated yet, although some members are actively working on lobbying senior levels of government for significant funding.
Multi-Centre Task Force - no longer exists
The Multi-Centre Task Force was an advisory committee to the NCJPC. It's mandate was to engage with the public and make recommendations as appropriate during the process leading up to the Nov. 15, 2008 referendum.
