Communications: Overview

The Communications Department at the City of Quesnel exists to provide effective and efficient two-way communications between the City of Quesnel and its principal constituent organizations, including residents, employees, businesses, media and other government organizations.

The department is made up of a Communications Supervisor and Communications Clerk. Their responsibilities include:

• Providing expert advice to senior management and elected officials on communications policies and strategies.
  
• Managing the City's website
  
• Promoting City initiatives and programs.
  
• Writing, coordinating and evaluating various communications activities, including briefing documents, speaking notes, speeches and public presentations.
  
• Designing, coordinating and managing production of external print publications, including newsletters, advertising, brochures and public service announcements.
